Meet Louise Bradley

Louise Bradley has dedicated her career to reducing stigma in mental health, building suicide prevention programs, improving workplace culture, and improving the lives of the homeless in Canada and abroad. In 2019, she was invested as a member of the Order of Canada, the country's highest civilian honour, for her contributions to advancing mental health care for Canadians. As President and Chief Executive Officer of the Mental Health Commission of Canada, she led the development of Canada’s first Mental Health Strategy, spearheaded the Opening Minds anti-stigma initiative, and led groundbreaking research on homelessness and suicide prevention. Her commitment to workplace culture and mental health led to the creation of the world’s first Psychological Safety Standard for the Workplace.
